Bkool launches smart trainers

Spanish sporting goods company Bkool has launched two new smart trainers, the Smart Pro 2 and the Smart Air, for cyclists.

According to Bkool, the Smart Pro 2 delivers a quieter, more realistic and more powerful workout. It is designed reach up to 1,200 watts and is capable of simulating slopes with a gradient of up to 20 per cent. It also features telescopic legs to offer riders greater stability, as well as a redesigned fan cover for a quiet workout – noise levels reach only 68 decibels at 35 kph

The Smart Air is a direct drive smart trainer that features a side-to-side rocking movement designed to offer riders a realistic pedalling motion.

Both trainers feature a sleek design, ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart capabilities, and include Bkool’s simulator software, which tracks the rider’s stats and measures inertia. It also replicates cycle routes – reacting instinctively to hills and descents – and real-world weather, while allowing users to see themselves riding in a virtual world.

The trainers require no assembly or calibration, so riders simply “plug in and play.”

Jorge Serrano, Bkool marketing director, says: "We're extremely excited by the reaction our new Smart trainer has received from cyclists and the fitness industry. Here at Bkool we are always looking for new ways to innovate indoor training and opening it up to a wider audience of fitness fans."
